Whether you’re planning a family reunion, corporate outing, bachelor party, or just getting a big group of friends together, a guided UTV tour through Vernal’s backcountry is the kind of shared experience that sticks. Up to 12 guests, 6 machines, and two expert guides — all on the same canyon trail at the same time.

How Group Tours Work

Adventure Tours Vernal has 6 Kawasaki KRX 1000 machines available for guests. Each KRX seats 2 riders, so a full fleet accommodates 12 guests. Dave and Trudy Wilson each ride their own KRX — one leading the group, one trailing — so everyone stays together and gets attention throughout the tour. Two additional ride-along spots let guests ride as passengers with Dave or Trudy if your group has an odd number or someone prefers not to drive.

Every group gets a private tour — you won’t be mixed with strangers. The three-hour format gives enough time for a full backcountry experience with stops at petroglyphs, overlooks, and photo opportunities without feeling rushed.

However large your group, everyone meets at the same staging point in Vernal and rides out together to one of five trail systems. The diagram below shows the shared starting point and the five options.

Family Reunions & Multi-Generation Groups

The KRX 1000’s roll cage, power steering, and FOX 2.5 PODIUM LSC suspension make it comfortable for a wide range of ages and abilities. Drivers must be 18+, but passengers can be as young as 2. That means grandparents, parents, and kids can all ride together on the same tour. Doc’s Beach and Moonshine Arch are the most popular trails for multi-generation groups — exciting terrain without anything too technical.

Dave and Trudy adjust the pace to the group’s comfort level. A family reunion group with teenage drivers and grandparent passengers gets a different ride than a group of experienced off-roaders — same trail, different tempo.

Corporate & Team-Building Outings

Three hours in canyon country does more for team cohesion than any conference room exercise. Groups navigate terrain together, share an adrenaline experience, and come back with a story that gets retold at every company event afterward. Moonshine Arch is popular with bachelorette groups for the scenery and the hidden arch destination.

Pricing for Groups

Standard pricing applies to all group sizes: $349 per machine for a 3-hour guided tour (up to 2 riders per machine), $125 per ride-along passenger, and $99/hour per machine for additional time.
